Dr. Bruce Kimball has been a research chemist for the National Wildlife Research Center since 1988. He received his M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Arizona State University in 1987 and his Ph.D. in Ecology from Colorado State University in 1997. Bruce's research focuses on chemically mediated behaviors in a variety of wildlife species. He examines the chemical constituents present in natural systems that evoke behaviors relevant to suppressing wildlife damage to agricultural resources. This includes understanding the basis of certain behaviors as well as attempting to alter them. Such research is conducted both in the field and with captive animals, as well as in the chemistry laboratory.
