The GEM (General Economic Model) model was developed for the BEHAVE program at Utah State University as a tool to evaluate alternative management practices. The model helps managers evaluate financial and non-financial ramifications of alternative strategies. It is based on a conceptual model discussed in the Ranching for Profit program taught by Ranch Management Consultants (Fairfield, CA).
